Michigan Army National Guard
In 2016, the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment and the National Guard Bureau selected the Michigan Army National Guard (MIARNG) to pilot a US Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) effort aimed at preparing military installations and their greater community for the impacts of climate change. The Michigan pilot focused on Fort Custer in Battle Creek, Camp Grayling in northern Michigan, and Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township.
