COMMUNITY OUTREACH MEETING #1
Date: Monday, July 31, 2017
Time: 7:00 PM
Location: Weko Beach House, 5301 Lake St, Bridgman, MI 49106
What Does Climate Have to Do With It? An analysis of the Lake Michigan shoreline and what it means for the future of development along Michigan coastal communities.
Thank you for attending the first public meeting for the Resilient Bridgman Master Plan. Researchers from the University of Michigan and the Great Lakes Research Center at Michigan Technological University have been tracking current and projected coastal conditions across Michigan and what these conditions mean for shoreline communities. This was a chance to meet the researchers and the Resilient Bridgman project team, view the Resilient Bridgman master planning project timeline, and find out what "coastal resilience" actually means for Bridgman.
The presentations from the guest speakers are available for viewing below:
- What is a Resilient Master Plan?
- Changes in Lake Michigan Shoreline and What it Means for Coastal Communities.
- Who Controls Michigan's Water and Coastline?
